BUSINESS OVERVIEW

Amtech is a global leading supplier of design and test & inspection software solutions to the electrical engineering market, including multi-nationals as well as individual engineers. Amtech also provides a support line to assist customers with technical problems.

OUR ROLE

Orbis acted as lead advisor to the management team in conducting an MBO of the business from the private vendor and helping to secure equity funding from HSBC Private Equity together with debt funding from HSBC Leveraged finance.

Amtech had phenomenal growth over recent years and was forecast to continue to do so, both nationally and internationally. Leading a deal in this dynamic environment it was paramount to ensure that the existing management team remained focused on the business.

Orbis identified the need for additional senior management in the form of a non-executive chairman and finance director and assisted in the recruitment of these individuals.
