Orbis continue deal flow with Maven's investment in Flow Communications
BUSINESS OVERVIEW
Flow Communications is a rapidly growing provider of network infrastructure and IT security solutions. Founded in 2008 by Nick Sonigra the company has expanded quickly and is proud to count a number of enterprise and large service providers amongst its clients.
Orbis’ knowledge of the sector and transaction expertise was key in achieving my objective of taking Flow into the next stage of its growth. Their diligence and enthusiasm throughout has been invaluable and I look forward to working with them in this next phase of growth.

OUR ROLE
Over an 18 month period, Orbis worked closely with the shareholders to explore a number of options to unlock the next stage of growth for the company. This process concluded with development capital being raised from Maven Capital Partners.
The Maven investment represented a substantial opportunity for Flow to accelerate their growth plans and set up a great opportunity for a buy-and-build in the sector.
Specifically Orbis:
- Spent time understanding the business
- Market tested a full trade sale to understand which option would maximise shareholder value
- Created a business plan including the development of a detailed three-year cash flow forecast
- Identified and approached potential investors
- Led all financial and commercial negotiations
- Led the preparation and execution of financial due diligence
- Worked alongside the legal team to negotiate suitable legal agreements
