Orbis advise French group Sicame on UK acquisition
Orbis have advised the French headquartered Sicame Group, a €400m turnover world leader in accessories and services related to the transport and distribution of electrical energy, on its acquisition of the British company, Boddingtons Electrical Limited.
Formed in 1999 Boddingtons is specialised in designing and producing a complete range of insulated tools for utilities and industrial applications as well as for the new market of electrical vehicle maintenance.
For the Sicame Group, this acquisition will make it possible to increase the production and innovation capacity of its range of insulated tools essential to the operation of electrical facilities. The acquisition strengthens the offer from its Commercial and Industrial division, providing an even better response to growing demand in all parts of the world.
For Boddingtons, this is an opportunity to join a global group, enabling the company to rely on an international network of partners and subsidiaries to accelerate its own growth.
Our Paris office in Clairfield International introduced us to Sicame and we identified Boddington Electrical as an ideal fit for their strategic expansion into the UK market. We worked closely with Sicame throughout the process further demonstrating our capabilities on cross-border transactions.
