Established in 1993, Midland Precision is a market leading precision engineering business based in the midlands, UK. It manufactures and supplies bespoke components & completion tools to the large blue-chip organisations in the Oil & Gas Industry.

The business has developed an excellent reputation for its bespoke product configurability and its high level of service & quality.

OUR ROLE

Orbis Partners were appointed to sell Midland Precision. Orbis’ expertise in the industrial sector was one of the key factors in winning the mandate. We needed to find a buyer which would be both acceptable to the Midland key customers and which could also benefit from these relationships to further enhance its own business. We worked closely with the client and with our international partners in Clairfield to find such a buyer, identifying a number of strategic buyers both in the UK and overseas.

Midland Precision was acquired by Gabbro Precision which was looking to invest in its precision engineering division to support a pipeline of international growth, funded by the European private equity arm of the US investment bank, RW Baird.
