BUSINESS OVERVIEW

SACCS is a specialist care services business, providing residential therapeutic treatments for young children who have suffered early life traumas including neglect, sexual, physical and mental abuse.

Orbis were referred to me by a professional third party and worked with me for a period before I decided to sell the business. Their partner-led approach and commitment was very professional and reassuring throughout the process. Orbis’ focus and understanding of the market was clear and their management of the restructuring and sales process helped me to achieve a strategic price. I would thoroughly recommend Orbis

OUR ROLE

When Orbis was introduced to the shareholder, the company had low occupancy as a result of a reduction in local authority placements due to the economic downturn. As a result, it was trading at break even.

Orbis worked with the shareholder to firstly restructure the business returning it to a high level of profitability. During this period Orbis assisted in developing a relationship between SACCS and a select group of potential buyers. This was key in obtaining strategic offers when SACCS had recovered.

The buyer, Advanced Childcare, is a leading national specialist childcare business. It has backing from US private equity group GI Partners.
SACCS is seen as a strategic acquisition to provide specialist therapeutic care for younger children than their core business.
