Orbis Deal Flow Continues With Sale Of Washroom Company

A leading manufacturer of automatic washroom solutions has been sold in a multi-million-pound deal led by Orbis Partners, the UK partner of Clairfield International, a worldwide partnership of M&A specialists and investment banking firms.

Dart Valley Systems (“DVS”) has been acquired by Franke Washroom Systems, the washroom division of the Franke Artemis Group, an international manufacturing group based in Switzerland.

DVS supplies its products to the commercial markets including healthcare, custodial, public sector and retail. Key products include taps and flushing mechanisms incorporating electronic no-touch technology. Recent installations include Heathrow Terminal 5.

DVS’ parent P&L Systems (Holding) Limited is owned by Wind Point Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm.

Franke generated a group turnover of £1.7bn in 2011. DVS represents a strategic opportunity for Franke to develop its existing UK business interests as well as developing the DVS product across broader European markets.

We worked closely with the vendors to understand the key drivers in DVS and identify strategic buyers who would benefit from DVS’ market position. Franke were finally selected as the preferred buyer. DVS represents a very good fit with Franke’s existing washroom business. Being part of an international, specialist division will significantly enhance DVS’ ability to take advantage of the growth potential.
