Orbis Partners advises on the sale of Pebbles Care to Ardenton Capital
Orbis Partners have completed another high-profile healthcare deal with the sale of Pebbles Care to Ardenton Capital for an undisclosed strategic price. The deal was led by Partner Shah Zaki and Associate Director Steve Nock with support from Manager Steph Mersh.
Established in 2003 by Luiz Guilherme, Pebbles has grown to become the largest privately-owned provider of residential care for young people in the United Kingdom. Headquartered in Leeds and Dunfermline, the Company currently operates 41 residential care homes and four schools, providing high-acuity care and education across the North of England and Scotland for some of the most vulnerable young people in the UK. The Company has experienced strong growth over the last 15 years with over 100 young people now in care and education.
Ardenton Capital are a global private equity business headquartered in Canada with offices in the US and UK. Ardenton will work closely with the Pebbles management team to support the continued roll-out of best-in-class service for young people.
Pebbles has been providing outstanding childcare for more than 16 years, so it was crucial that we found an investor who believed in maintaining the Company’s values. With their track record and expertise within the Children’s Services market, Orbis were the obvious corporate finance practice to partner with. They have lived and breathed the business throughout the transaction and have helped to deliver an excellent result.
Luiz Guilherme, Shareholder and Managing Director
We’ve admired Pebbles and the business’ market-leading service for a number of years. We’re delighted to have found an investor in Ardenton who understand the core values of the business and who will help to support the next phase of growth.
It’s a privilege to be working alongside the Pebbles management team. Our investment will enable the team to invest further in the quality of their care provision and expand their services to provide more capacity.
