SACCS Sold To Advanced Childcare

SACCS, the market leading provider of specialist residential care and therapeutic programmes for children with a history of trauma, neglect and sexual abuse, has been sold to Advanced Childcare in a deal funded by private equity provider GI Partners.

The transaction was led by corporate finance advisers, Orbis Partners, the UK partner of Clairfield International, a worldwide partnership of M&A specialist and investment banking firms.

Established in 1987, SACCS has developed to be at the forefront of child care offering care programmes underpinned by its own research and working methodologies, supported by a well-respected staff development programme. It operates 12 residential care homes and one school across the West Midlands.

Advanced Childcare is a specialist provider of children’s care and education services based in Stockport. With the acquisition of SACCS their existing portfolio of homes will expand from 143 to 155. The combination of SACCS with Advanced Childcare will allow the group to offer a greater depth of specialist care and the development of services for children with a history of sexual abuse and sexual exploitation.

We have worked closely with our client to firstly help restructure the business during the economic downturn and then identify a suitable buyer with a strategic fit.  The combined group is well placed to provide the highest level of care to children.
