Orbis Advises On The Sale Of Specialist Education Provider - Trinity

Trinity School Rochester Ltd (Trinity), a specialist education provider for children and young people with anxiety, communication difficulties, and high-functioning autism syndrome, has been sold to Cavendish Education and Training Limited for an undisclosed strategic price. The transaction was originated and led by Shah Zaki and Steve Nock from Birmingham-based corporate finance advisers Orbis Partners.

Established in 1998, Trinity is an independent day school, college, and gateway provision specialising in teaching children and young people aged 6 to 25 with a diagnosis of anxiety, speech, language and communication difficulties, including dyslexia, dyspraxia, high-functioning autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. Based in Rochester, Kent, Trinity has developed excellent relationships with a number of local authorities, supplying a specialised learning environment for both statemented and privately funded pupils.

Cavendish Education and Training Limited operates a group of specialist schools focussed on offering outstanding support for students with dyslexia, dyspraxia, high-functioning autism and associated communication and language needs. The acquisition of Trinity will add to Cavendish’s growing portfolio and will provide expertise in the provision of specialist learning to young adults in the 19 to 25 age category.

We have worked closely with the shareholders of Trinity for a number of years in planning their exit strategy. We identified Cavendish as a strong strategic buyer at the start of the transaction and are delighted to have concluded a deal that provides an excellent home for the business.
