Gary Ecob
Gary is a founding partner of Orbis Partners and has over 20 years of corporate finance experience.
Gary originally joined the team at Invex, as a newly qualified chartered accountant, in the late 90’s. He worked with them through to 2006 when a management buy-out of the Company, created Orbis Partners Limited.
Gary has completed a vast number of transactions including acquisitions, disposals, MBOs and BIMBOs in a variety of sectors, often working with private shareholders and on complex private equity backed transactions.
Gary heads the food & consumer sector for Clairfield International globally and leads the business services sector for Orbis, working closely with his Clairfield colleagues around the World. Gary also has experience across a range of other sectors and has held non-executive positions with his clients; attending monthly board meetings and advising on growth strategy.
In the early part of his career, Gary was short-listed in the regional Accountancy Awards and in Birmingham’s Young Professional of the Year Awards and was recognised as Young Corporate Finance Advisor of the Year in the Midlands, an award that was voted on by his peers.
